We collect information you provide directly when you create an account, build a registry, or contact us. This includes your name, email address, and any registry items or preferences you add.
We also collect usage data automatically — such as which pages you visit, how long you stay, and what device and browser you use. This helps us improve the product experience.
How do we use your information?
We use your information to provide and improve Shop4One, send you transactional emails (like password resets and registry share notifications), and — only with your explicit consent — send you product updates and tips.
We never sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your information to serve you ads.
Do we use cookies and other tracking technologies?
Yes. We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We also use analytics cookies (via privacy-respecting tools) to understand how people use Shop4One. You can opt out of analytics cookies at any time via your account settings.
How long do we keep your information?
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it. Gifter reservation data (which contains no personal information) is purged after 90 days.
How do we keep your information safe?
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We use Supabase with row-level security, meaning your registry data is only readable by you and the people you explicitly share it with. We conduct regular security reviews and keep dependencies up to date.
What are your privacy rights?
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, port, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@shop4one.com and we will respond within 30 days.
You may also delete your account at any time from your profile settings, which triggers immediate removal of your registries and personal information.
